Palenica
The neighboring station of the chairlift to the peak of Palenica, from where there is a view of the wonderful panorama of the Tatra Mountains, Pieniny Mountains, Beskid Sądecki and the entire Szczawnica. It's a great starting point for exploring the many hiking, hiking and cycling trails.
It is a real paradise for lovers of mountain trips and close contact with nature.
Mountains, lake, bicycle paths and mountain trails - the perfect place to relax regardless of the season!
The trails lead to the highest peaks of the Pieniny and Gorce Mountains and to nature reserves: the Homole Gorge, Wysokie Skałki, and also to Biała Woda, which is full of picturesque rocks and rock thresholds that create numerous gorges and waterfalls.
Next to it, on the neighboring Szafranówka, you can use a 700-meter gravity chute in the summer, which is an attraction for both children and adults. Additionally, a special, fenced playground has been prepared for the youngest at the top of Palenica - two mini climbing walls and ladders are available to children.
For horse riding enthusiasts, the Rajd Stud offers horse rallies and trips during which you can admire the beauty of nature reserves.
In winter, it is a perfect place for winter sports enthusiasts.
You can have fun here on snow-covered and groomed ski slopes. In addition to the chairlift, there are also three drag lifts on Szafranówka. This gives you 4 lifts with 4 different, groomed ski slopes, including a 2-kilometer-long FIS-approved ski slope. The excellent snow conditions there make it possible to practice downhill, cross-country skiing and snowboarding.
Thanks to the specific microclimate and additional snowmaking, the full ski season lasts as long as four months.
It is an ideal place both for beginners and young skiers who want to develop their skills, as well as for very advanced skiers - there is a 1-kilometer-long black slope waiting for them.
